Dr. Kent Grassle
Emergency Dental of Kansas City is happy to have Dr. Kent Grassle as one of our emergency dentists. Dr. Grassle is a graduate of UMKC School of Dentistry class of 1983. Dr. Grassle joined the Emergency Team in 2019. In his free time he enjoys playing golf, but tennis is his passionate hobby.
Dr. Mark Juarez
Emergency Dental of Kansas City is happy to have Dr. Mark Juarez. Dr. Juarez is a graduate of The Ohio State University. Dr. Juarez joined the Emergency Team in 2018. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball, golf, sand volleyball, and snowboarding. However, his favorite pastime is watching the Buckeyes in the fall.
Dr. Nidhi Gupta
Emergency Dental of Kansas City is happy to have Dr. Nidhi Gupta. Dr. Gupta is a graduate of Boston University Goldman School of Dentistry. Dr. Gupta joined the Emergency Team in 2018. In her free time, she likes to swim, hike, cook, and spend quality time with her husband and two children.

Dr. Monteagudo, DDS
Dr. Roberto Monteagudo lives in Milwaukee and makes family time with his wife, Gina, and their seven children a top priority. He also enjoys outdoor activities and is deeply committed to giving back to his community through charitable events such as Dentistry from the Heart, to which he donated over $20,000 in services over the last two years. He also provides academic scholarships to local youth in the Milwaukee community.
Dr. Monteagudo's Dental Care Philosophy
His warmth and caring, combined with his commitment to patient comfort through sedation dentistry, leading-edge, gentle, and non-invasive technologies is the reason that his patients travel long distances to see him.
He is an expert in advanced dentistry and aesthetics, full mouth reconstruction, neuromuscular dentistry (jaw joint disorders, or TMD), and sedation dentistry. When you come to our dental office, you can count on being listened to, treated with sensitivity, and having your needs placed first. Dr. Monteagudo also writes a majority of our blogs. Dental Education
Dr. Roberto Monteagudo graduated in 1990 from Marquette University School of Dentistry. He advanced his education at the internationally renowned Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies, where he graduated in the fields of advanced aesthetics, full mouth reconstruction, neuromuscular (TMJ), and sedation dentistry with recognition in academic excellence.
Dr. Monteagudo educates his patients and other dentists alike by speaking frequently throughout Wisconsin regarding advancements in dentistry and patient education. Additionally, he serves on numerous boards for community betterment.

Jared Derr
From 1999 to 2002, Jared worked as a consultant for Dentrix Dental Systems, specializing in business reviews and fraud investigations for dental offices around the US.
He developed the concept for Emergency Dental in 2002, and in 2004, opened the company’s first clinic in Omaha, Nebraska.
Jared attended Brigham Young University, where he studied economics and business management systems. During his time at Dentrix, he became a certified trainer for their dental systems.
A native of a small farming community called Dayton, Oregon, Jared likes to spend his free time with family. He also enjoys doing large jigsaw puzzles and is currently teaching a religious class for youths.
Joyce Mlynarik
Joyce received her dental assistant training at Omaha College of Health Careers, where she made the dean’s list. She chose dentistry as a career because of her deep desire to make a difference in people’s lives by improving their oral health.
In 2002, she decided to make a change and joined Emergency Dental of America as our Director of Operations.
Joyce grew up in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and enjoys spending free time with family, camping, and baking.

The emergency dental concept and philosophy was birthed by our founders who were very familiar with the dental industry and saw a need that could be filled so we can provide a top tier service for patients who need emergency services.
